Visibility is all about getting yourself out there to be seen within your industry and beyond, but it’s also important to lay strong foundations within yourself and your work so that you can be the best version of yourself amongst the often craziness that comes with being seen.
Having clear goals is so important to keep you on track, but it’s equally important to realise that your goals will and should change. No, I don’t mean constantly changing your mind, but I do mean reassessing and re-evaluating what your goals are and do they still align with what you’ve set out to do!
Here’s 3 reasons why your goals should change:
Your industry changes. The world around you changes. You need to leave space for flexibility. If 2020-21 have taught us anything, it’s that we can’t rely on things to stay the same. If your industry suddenly opens up to a new demographic, then are your goals still to only serve the previous one?
What you set your heart on might not excite you anymore
If your eyes don’t light up at the thought of achieving the dreams you set, then it’s time to reset the goalposts
The pace has changed
Whether you’re speeding along or things are taking a little longer than anticipated, don’t feel like you need to stick to a strict timeline
